Daily Ukulele: "Plenty More" by Squirrel Nut Zippers
I love the Squirrel Nut Zippers. I love their retro-vaudeville-jazz-punk-swing thing they've got going. And it only makes sense that people would want to do ukulele covers for them, right? There's a ukulele cover of everything on YouTube; it should be a new rule of the internet.
This particular song is one I haven't heard before (er, I love SNZ, but my collection is pretty incomplete), but I want to give this singer big props for recording at least three different components of the song and overlaying them, really well. Happy Thursday, gang!
