I love watching Jake Shimabukuro. The dude's a genius, and he's clearly having so much fun. I'm always impressed by how he reminds me how much sound our little ukes can make. Here he is covering Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" (I confess I am a sucker for that song), and for one guy with a tiny instrument, he sure is creating a big, big noise.

I just. He has lovely arms. And a beautiful, beautiful ukulele. See more of both here.

(Warning: The sound on the interview is not too great, so you may have to turn up your speakers to clearly hear what he's saying. But it's a neat interview! He talks about his ukulele, which came from the Kamaka family -- and having finally watched that short documentary, I can wholeheartedly endorse giving it 26 minutes. It quite surprised me!)

It figures that Jake Shimabukuro would do a TED Talks event. And it also figures that he would blow us away with a cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." (FYI, the last few minutes of this video are a Rolex commercial.)

There's a great article on CNN's "What's Next?" page about playing rock music on a ukulele. Complete with awesome vid of Jake Shimabukuro that just blew my mind.

*fans self* I don't know if I'll ever play that well.
